“HeatLab” company took part in the scientific seminar “Nanocomposite materials in industry: new opportunities”

As part of the regional week of the national project "Science" in the Ulyanovsk region, on February 12, 2020, a regional scientific and practical seminar “Nanocomposite materials in industry: new opportunities” was held at the Ulyanovsk branch of the Kotel'nikov institute of radio engineering and electronics of RAS.

The seminar-round table was attended by managers and specialists of innovative and scientific-production enterprises, research staff of universities.

Dmitry Novikov, General Director of “HeatLab” company, addressed the participants with the topic "Materials for thermal management-trends in the use of unique properties of carbon nanostructures". The company has developed several samples of materials with unique properties that are already being used in the radio-electronic industry. Currently, metal composites with graphene with record thermal conductivity are being developed for applications as heat sinks.

According to Dmitry Sirenko, Director of the investment policy Department of the Ministry of digital economy and competition of the Ulyanovsk region, nanocomposite materials are widely produced and used in many Ulyanovsk industrial enterprises, the circle of these enterprises it is constantly expanding, the volume of innovative products based on and using nanocomposites is growing, and a research and production cluster is being formed. Universities and research organizations are actively conducting research and development in this direction, including with the support of the government of the Ulyanovsk region. An urgent task is to bring these developments to practical use. This should be facilitated by the innovative infrastructure being formed in the Ulyanovsk region, measures to support invention and innovative entrepreneurship.
